Saturday 5th Jan 2013 - Bishop Sutton

Around 19 riders (some notable abscenses - Richard :-) ) on a mild and still day set off for Bishop Sutton via the Wells. We picked up a couple of riders at Winscomebe including a new guy called Nick who was from Wales. He told us he had ridden with us before but I don't believe him :-). Ivan treated us to the long climb out of Wells to West Harptree, where the group became quite fragmented. At the top, Neil decided our group of 4 should push on and get to the cafe. When we got there we waited for 15 mins before the main peleton appeared. Some riders a bit rusty after the Xmas break :-). Excellent cakes as usual but service was very slow. We rode home with the sun on our backs via Chew Stoke, Winford, Wrington etc.

Yeh - missing because I feel like s**t. Haven't slept properly for 3 days. Tried a short ride on Thursday, managed 15 miles and felt exhausted! Cracking Christmas holiday this has been - out of 16 days off work I've been ill for 10 of them! Really disappointed I couldn't get out yesterday for the first ride of 2013 but sounds like you had a good time. Happy new year to you all. Hope to be feeling better soon.

Sorry to hear you have'nt been well. It sounds like the Noro virus has been going around as both Neil and Jeanie have had it.
