so far this week the bbc have been wrong, but currently they forecast a washout for saturday.

under such a metaphorical and literal cloud it's difficult to muster up much of a metaphorical or literal plan really.

we'll head south and see what happens.

on a brighter note, monday is forecast to be..... well, brighter. presently there are 4 people who have shown an interest in driving to aust and then riding over the bridge into the black mountains and the forest of dean. probably a 9 o'clock start from weston. please let me know if you'd like to come and we'll confirm arrangements over the weekend.

    the more the merrier!

saturday 24th may - so'wester...again!! Empty Ride report

12 riders turned up for what promised to be a rain soaked day and it didn't dissapoint!
With the forecast of constant rain the destination was undefined. We headed south to see how far we could get.
We decided on Rich's Cider Farm and made it there before the real rain set in. We lost some riders on the way so assumed that they wanted a closer destination!
Nothing really to report about the ride there. The return leg was mostly rain soaked but we did venture up Cheddar Gorge where Adrian took the honours ahead of some newcomer - Mark Ashurst.
The rest of the ride was more of soaking so everyone was glad to make it home.

    OJC - 2
