according to latest bbc forecast, the going should be good to firm (cold, grey and dry.)

so...... another harum scarum skedaddle awaits as we take on the delights of high ham once more, as ever my wheel will be available for the 2 miles leading up to the first 2yds of the climb.

post shenanigans we're off to the flat top, giggle cafe (aka potting shed.)

makes me feel like spring is just around the corner... must get myself a new bike.

Potting Shed was upping sticks and moving to the nearby garden centre sometime around now. Might be best to check that it is open. Failing that we could go to Curry Rivel - perhaps not, it's flooded. Okay so we could go to Mulchelney - again no. Okay, back through Burrowbridge to....! Any suggestions?

How about go to potting shed and if they see us coming and up sticks we ride down to the parrett In town.

Whilst easily overlooked, the simple solutions are often the best.

Saturday 1st March - langgggggggport Empty Ride report

Post  Martin Sat Mar 01, 2014 7:39 pm

A great day - sunshine and dry weather enticed out eighteen runners and riders (mainly riders). We headed out for Langport via the toll road, Uphill, Mark and Burtle where we realised we had lost one of the new members and Merion decided to wait for him to catch up. We found out at the cafe they decided to stop at Sweats. At the Potting Shed in Langford we enjoyed the usual excellent fair which we enjoyed sat outside in the warm sunshine.
On leaving the cafe we split in to two groups. Six of us headed back via Somerton and Glastonbury where Mr Burns tried to kiss a baby in the best politician fashion.
I've run out of inspiration :-)

Certainly agree - it was nice weather and a nice ride. Good to get some more miles in this week as feeling a bit sluggish after 2 weeks off the bike. Thanks for the lift home. It got to that stage where the legs could just about manage 20-21 mph but not a shred more!
