Saturday 18th May 2013 - Hartley's Kitchen

About 17 riders for a fine morning. As some of us are planning on doing the Somerset 100 miler from Sweets tomorrow Ivan decided on a 'easier' ride. So we set off for Hartley's Kitchen via Wrington, Chew Stoke, then some new back lanes to Litton and around the back to Binager. We sat outside and enjoyed the good weather. Hartley's have recently had an extension to their seating area which will be welcome. The return journey was direct via the mendip motorway and down Burrington Combe which was attacked by Ivan et al.

Toasted tea cake rating - 5/10 (ordered brown toast and got some thinly sliced Tescos bread!).

A fairly quiet one.

Nevertheless it included my favourite moment of the year thus far when monty burns threw his toys put of his pram when nick and I caught him at the bottom of Burrington. As if the moment couldn't be improved he claimed that he couldn't get past a... wait for it... a skoda.

Golden moment, you can't buy entertainment like that.
