12 riders for a glorious day including a face we have'nt seen for a while - Carlos! We took advantage of the good weather and set off for Barrington Court south of Langport. With the wind behind us the pace was very fast. When we got near Burnham we said goodbye to 4 riders who wanted a shorter ride. After 42.5 miles we reached Barrington and hoovered up most of the cakes much to the annoyance of some other guests. I was particularly greedy, selecting 3 but one did'nt count as it was gluten free :-)
While we were sitting outside there was a very loud bang which turned out to be my front tyre being blown off the rim! The poor couple who were sat next to it almost died of shock.
We did'nt stop long at the cafe and were soon back up to the break neck pace. After the usual high speed rant from Woolavington we decided to have a second stop at Rich's Cider Farm where we sat outside for quite a while recovering.
The last leg was back along Weston sea front battling the wind and traffic. Nick and Neal decided they needed some extra mileage so we went back via the toll road and Wick St Lawrence.
