saturday's ride 7/7

this Saturday's planned 100 looking doubtful due to inclemency, we may just ride 50 miles, call it a day, and come back.

if it does go ahead, it might be to berkley, or sherborne, or shaftesbury, or bradford-on-avon (or anywhere else within a 50 mile radius.)


i'd be grateful if somebody could bring a dice to help my decision making capabilities.

i hope you all feel that this constitutes an update.

metcheck.com are predicting 8.4mm of rain during the morning so probably wise to postpone the 100 miler :-)

If we stay local then we can count on your uncanny ability to dodge the showers.

Do you remember that TV program - 'The Diceman'? Wonder what ever happened to him :-)

Bunch of lightweights! Of course I have a chest infection so I'm not allowed out in the wet. Certainly won't do 100 miler tomorrow but will put up with a light shower and a short ride.

Count me in. I might even do a stint up front

Only three of us brave enough to tackle the non stop rain - Ivan, Richard & Martin.

With the poor weather we decided to go to Sweets.

Ivan had a puncture but managed to make it to Sweets before it needed changing.

The only stat you need is that I spent more time on other peoples back wheels than anyone else. I was just glad I wasn't the only mad fool to turn up at Priory in the morning! If I see any ads for second hand bikes this year that say 'dry miles only' I think it will be hard to believe.
