It may be true that you’ll never walk alone, however, cycling etiquette appears somewhat more hard nosed. Just ask Martin how he got home after a collision with a van that suddenly appeared in front of him. The first I knew of his demise was 6 miles down the road; ‘where’s Martin?’ - ‘oh he decided to turn back’ ....... (ALONE!!!)
Fortunately the concussion wasn’t too severe and he made it back. I’d like to think that we’ll all be treated with the same level of care in the future should we need it.
Anyway, weather looks decidedly dodgy on Saturday, but I’d rather get wet than join the wheelers (my phone just predicted wheelchair when I wrote that, damn clever!)
So, in an effort to keep nine pints happy, we’ll twiddle in a northerly loop and aim for Clevedon, then try to get back in the dry before the predicted afternoon rain.
Route out will be Puxton, Sandford, Churchill.
