Well, this week's ride promises to be a little quiet, what with people on holiday and feigning injury.

Nevertheless, the hardy few should be rewarded with sunny ride.

Will we actually end up at our destination???? the last two 'rides' to Wotton-under-Edge were cut short and it's been two years since we last made it all the way.

Anyway, our best laid plan is to ride out through Chew Valley and on to Bitton should anybody wish to officially ditch out (before the rest of us might!!)

Initial route will be Puxton, Sandford, Churchill, Wrington, Red Hill should you wish to latch on.

In the unlikely event that we complete the ride, total mileage will be 99.9 appx'

Saturday 30th July - Under the Hedge Empty Ride report

This week we were honored to have some of the original members of the club - Gordon, Dave, Bernie, Keith etc. Ivan led us out towards Sandford at a considered pace. We stopped at Wrington for the usual break where we picked up Mark who was was waiting at the bus stop happily chatting to the old lady. Once we had climbed Redhill to the airport we regrouped and the fun then began as we charged down towards Chew Magna. As we headed to Pensford Ivan tried to bait a few riders to make it up the steep hill in the big ring Chris Gough style. At Bitton most riders took the sensible option to stop while eight of us continued on to Wooton-under-Edge. At teh cafe the weather was great so we enjoyed the sun in the garden. Top nosh as well. The return leg was via Thornbury and Portishead. I managed 99.9 which is always a bonus.
