Summer will soon be upon us so we really should be stretching our legs now.

We'll head south and west through north curry and up on to the blackdown hills. once there we can either drop into wellington or continue along the top another few miles to the cafe that martin and neil have mentioned.

either way mileage will be around 90 - 99 (another non-100 in the bag!)

meet time 9am, route out will be sea front, anchor, brent knoll, woolavington.

Ivan - can't complain that you weren't there at 9 o'clock as it does say in your post that the meet time is 9 o'clock, not the departure time. No doubt next week will be a 6.30 a.m. meet.

Hope you all had a good ride to Wellington.

Chris and I were wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a collective noun for the Wheelers. Chris suggested there isn't one as there is never more than one Wheeler on a ride. However that myth was dismissed this morning when I counted about 5 in one place. So I'm going for 'a rarity of wheelers' or just 'five', unless one day 6 turn up.

    Ride mileage 96.4, week's mileage 199.7.

I just love it when a plan comes together.

Despite the best efforts of the LAPD's crack cycling squad pulling me over in burrowbridge I had great day out.

Special thanks go out to the little chef's famous Olympic Breakfast.

Quote of the day goes to the waitress who kindly offered us a complimentary lolly (by which time we'd all copiously helped ourselves anyway and Chris's pockets were already bulging with a year's supply.)

    P.S. isn't it a wank of wheelers.

    Lol.

You should have run the red light, got yourself to the front of the peloton and kept out of trouble. It's great how we British are of a forgiving nature, saying that if I did it I wouldn't here the last of it.

Great to have video footage, "top marks Martin".

As an animal behaviorist in my spare time, the footage clearly shows the new young bull identifying the alpha male of the group and asserting his authority using a popular technique known as 'closing the door'. I'm surprised he didnt urinate on him whilst he flailed around on the floor!
