Last chance to earn some mince pie credits before crimbo. Weather looks dry and bright with moderate WNW so if anyone wants to join in, meet at Priory at 9.00 as usual.

Christmas Eve ride
A disappointing 4 riders started out from priory for the Christmas Eve ride. We headed out via Puxton up Burrington where as usual, I got my normal puncture. That’s an average of 1.2/ ride since September. I thought Conti GP 4000 were supposed to be good winter tyres but obviously I have been misinformed. Got to find a solution. Anyone?
Meirion had to get back to one of his jobs so had to leave us at the top of Burrington and headed back down Cheddar while the rest of us carried on to Lakeside Café at Chew Valley where we came across Neil dressed in civies blagging off work.
A harder run back via Wrington into the wind (behind Ivan of course) but I reckon in total we each earned an extra 6 pieces of Stollen or 10 mince pies so well worth the effort. All the best to everyone. Have a great Christmas. That’s all from me. People to see. Places to go. Punctures to mend.
