Here's my guess for tomorrows ride - Langport or Fyne Court

Who knows, Ivan probably doesn't know until tomorrow :-)

    Wow. Glad I'm so predictable.

Was going to do Barrington but I didn't want to freak out the naysayers.

So we'll do Langport... with a few twists and turns :-D

On a more negative note, it's chucking it down here in Churchill. No power either now. Writing this on my phone.

It's fun living in a third world country.

Oh yes .... Langport via Swanage is fine by me!

Great turn out for a sunny start. I think we had 22 riders at one point.
We set off for Langport and on the seafront we met Gordon and some of the other veterans.
At Uphill we met Ivan who had overslept.
The route to Langport was a new one and we ended up going down the Bridgewater canel tow path which wasn't popular :-)
Ivan and Neil tried a break away up to High Ham but Adrian, Paul and myself managed to reel them in before the top.
We met Nick at the Potting Shed and enjoyed a long break. When we set off most of the group went back via High Ham while 7 of us headed towards North Curry and Bridgewater. We had to stop a couple of times for heavy showers and also 3 times for punctures.

    OJC - 2?
Toasted tea cake rating - 6
Knacker factor - 8.5 very fast on the way back

I thought I was doing well to hang on to the wheels on the return leg. 25-28 mph in parts over about 10-15 miles. Then I watched the London-Surrey Classic on Sunday - average speed was 27-28 mph for 140 miles!

I'm heading overseas for a summer training camp for the next couple of weeks. Thought I'd do some intervals - swim, beer, swim, beer. To mix it up a bit I'll alternate that with bbq, beer, bbq, beer followed by a ramp test - i.e. can I get up the stairs to bed! Not sure how many miles the bike will do.

Pass on my regards at Phil's funeral.

    Laters.
